Clayton Kershaw came out of the bullpen to get the final two outs and the Dodgers advanced to the NLCS with a 4-3 victory over the Nationals. After closer Kenley Jansen got a career-high seven outs, the Dodgers ace entered with runners on first and second before getting Daniel Murphy to pop out and striking out pinch-hitter Wilmer Difo for his first career save. Joc Pederson triggered a four-run seventh with a leadoff homer off Max Scherzer and Justin Turner capped the uprising with a two-run triple. Los Angeles opens the NLCS on Saturday night against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
