The Dodgers are halfway to the World Series after shutting out the Cubs 6-0 in Game Three of the NLCS. Rich Hill tossed six strong innings to help LA take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven set. The Cubs are enduring a record run of offensive futility. Chicago has been held scoreless in a postseason franchise-record 18 straight innings. The Cubs’ last run came on a Dexter Fowler solo homer in the eighth inning of Game One. Their previous record of 16 was set in 1906.
The Cubs will try to even things up tonight when they send John Lackey to the mound against the Dodgers’ Julio Urias.
