Several Paris Community Hospital/Family Medical Center (PCH/FMC) staff volunteers participated in the annual blood sugar screening at Paris High School. Participating students were provided breakfast immediately following their test. The finger-prick screening was offered to all freshmen. Statistically, one in four teens nationwide are found to have pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes. This is the fifth year for the event.
