Paris Community Hospital/Family Medical Center will offer two walk-in flu shot clinics in October.
Flu shots will be available to patients age nine and older in the Paris Family Medical Center on Friday, October 21, and Friday, October 28, from 8 am to 4 pm each day.
The charge for the vaccine is $30, and no appointment is necessary. Accepted forms of payment will include cash, Medicare, and private insurance. Please bring your insurance card with you.
If you are interested in obtaining a flu shot for someone age eight or younger, contact your physician’s office for more information.
Patients participating in the clinic should use the main entrance, near the Clinic Pharmacy and proceed to the FMC registration desk.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone six months of age and older get a flu shot each flu season. This year’s vaccines have been updated to better match viruses currently circulating. Additionally, recommendations for people with egg allergies have been updated; most will be able to receive the flu shot. The CDC does not recommend a nasal spray flu vaccine for the 2016-2017 season.
