Poll: Half Of U.S. Voters Worried About Election Day Violence
(Boston, MA) — Half of the Americans in a new poll say they are worried about violence flaring up on Election Day. The USA ToDay-Suffolk University poll found that half of likely voters were at least somewhat concerned about things taking a turn for the worse, and one-in-five were very concerned. About the same number said they were not confident that the U.S. would have a peaceful transition of power after the Election. The poll results come after Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has claimed that the Election is rigged against him, and has called on supporters to go to “certain areas” and watch for suspicious activity.
