After a successful 2nd half the Newton Eagles still remain undefeated ending the game 35 to 13 against the Pana Panthers.
The game opened with Pana kicking off to Newton. After a long push eventually the Newton Eagles obtained the first touchdown of the game along with the first field goal. Starting the game off with the Newton Eagles leading 7 to 0 against the Pana Panthers.
Newton would then kick to Pana however possession would be short lived for Pana. Newton managed to hold off Pana forcing them to punt to Newton. Newton took over at their own 41 yard line. This would bring an end to the first quarter with Newton leading against Pana 7 to 0.
The second quarter picked up with a successful 15 yard touchdown pass by Timothy Weber to Joe Stone for another Newton touchdown. Ben Carr of Newton then would have another successful field goal attempt rounding the score out with Newton leading against Pana 14 to 0 in the second quarter.
Newton then went back to kickoff to Pana. Pana following the kickoff took over at their own 23 yard line with 11 minutes left in the second quarter. Once again Pana would fail to gain any points resulting in a Newton gaining possession again. Newton would score once again following this possession. Mitch Biernman of Newton would successfully run the ball for a 64 yard rushing touchdown. Ben Carr once again would make another successful field goal attempt resulting in Newton leading against Pana 21 to 0.
With less than two minutes left in the half Pana would successfully get themselves on the scoreboard. Pana then would have a successful pass attempt and field goal attempt making the final score, going into the second half Newton leading 21 to 7.
In the second half Newton kicked off to Pana. Pana would then start the half with a successful pass completed for a touchdown. Pana however, would miss the field goal attempt making the score Newton leading 21 to 13 against Pana.
The rest of the game we would see Newton in the driver seat successfully gaining yards primarily through rushing rather than passing plays resulting in the game clock to quickly decrease. After regaining possession Mitch Bierman of Newton would successfully run in another touchdown, putting Newton 28 to 13 against Pana ending the 3rd quarter.
The final quarter of the game resulted in Pana not able to successfully gain any more score coverage. Newton would once again score on Pana for one last time. Mitch Bierman once again would successfully score with a 33 yard rushing touchdown. This would then place the final score with Newton defeating Pana 35 to 13.
