One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Cumberland County this morning. According to the Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by Karen Funk of Springfield was eastbound on I-70 near milepost 129 when she stopped in the middle of the right lane and turned off her lights. A vehicle driven by Alexander Lebedevin of Asheville, North Carolina swerved to miss Funk’s vehicle, but sideswiped the driver’s side. He escaped injury, while Funk was taken to St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. Funk was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and improper parking on a roadway.
