On Thursday, December 8th, East Central Illinois Task Force and the Eastern Illinois University Police Department executed a search warrant and arrested 21 year-old, Nicholas A. Paglia in Charleston.
According to a recent press release from the Illinois State Police, the warrant and arrest occurred at 1615 12th street in Charleston, Illinois. The search warrant came as a result of a month long investigation into the distribution of cannabis in Charleston. During the search of the premises, warrant officers located approximately 336 grams of cannabis, as well as a .380 Bersa handgun, and a GSG-5 rifle along with 52 rounds of ammunition. Also seized during the search $1,290.00 of United States Currency.
Nicholas was arrested and charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis and was taken to The Coles County Jail.
