No Injuries After Birds Force Two Emergency Landings In Illinois
(Rockford, IL) — Some of the people onboard a Florida-bound flight out of Rockford have a story to tell. Everyone is okay after birds flew into the engines of an Allegiant Air flight yesterday evening and forced the plane back to Rockford’s airport. An Allegiant spokesperson says the birds disabled one of the engines and forced an emergency landing. Birds also forced a plane at Midway to return to the ground yesterday in Chicago.
