According to a press release from the Mattoon Police Department, Corey J. Mitchell, age 27 of Mattoon, was arrested on Dec. 26th at 1:58 p.m. in the 2100 block of Champaign Ave. Mitchell was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. He was also wanted on a Coles County warrant of arrest for failing to appear in court on a cannabis possession charge. Mitchell was taken to the jail.
