According to a press release from the MPD, Ward A. Cave, age 60 of Mattoon, was arrested on Dec. 24th at 1:47 p.m. in the 2000 block of Western Ave. He was charged with Retail Theft. The charge alleges that Cave stole items from County Market. The charge was elevated to a felony due to past felony convictions. Cave was taken to the jail.
