Death Of Rashaan Salaam Ruled Suicide
(Boulder, CO) — Authorities are confirming that former Bears running back Rashaan Salaam committed suicide. The Boulder County coroner says the 42-year-old shot himself in the head before he was found dead December 5th at a park in Boulder, Colorado. The Heisman Trophy winner had a history of depression and a note was found at the scene of his death. Salaam played for the Bears for three seasons after being selected by the franchise in the first round of the 1995 NFL Draft.
