An accident in Fayette County has claimed the life of a Brownstown man. According to the Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Scott White of Brownstown was attempting to turn into a driveway off Route 40 when a passing vehicle driven by Joseph Beshel struck the White vehicle. White was transported to Fayette County Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation.
