Lawmakers Considering College Admissions Bill
(Springfield, IL) — Illinois lawmakers are considering a bill that would require public universities in the state to admit freshman with a GPA in the top ten-percent of their high school class. The measure cleared a House committee on Wednesday. The “News-Gazette” reports the University of Illinois and the Illinois Board of Higher Education are opposed to the bill.
