Vikings Decline Option On Peterson
(Eden Prairie, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings are declining their 2017 option on Adrian Peterson’s contract. The team announced the news on Tuesday, which will make “A.P.” an unrestricted free agent on March 9th. General manager Rick Spielman said, “We will continue to have conversations with his representatives and leave our future options open while determining what is best for both parties moving forward.” Peterson has spent his entire ten-year career in Minnesota after being drafted seventh overall by the Vikings in 2007. The 31-year-old was limited to just three games last season due to a lateral meniscus tear. Peterson has ran for 11,747 yards and 97 touchdowns in 123 career games.
