Two people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle accident last night in Clark County. According to the Illinois State Police, a brush truck owned by the Marshall Fire Department and a pickup, driven by Randy Aldridge, of Jay, Florida were sitting on the shoulder of I-70 following a slide-off incident, when a vehicle driven by Trenaya Blackburn, of Steubenville, Ohio, collided with the brush truck, and then into Aldridge’s truck. Blackburn was ticketed for failure to reduced speed to avoid and accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She and passengers Sarah Blackburn and Nariah Jones were taken to Union Hospital for injuries sustained.
The accident that preceded this involved one vehicle. Illinois State Police say a van driven by Gaston Munoz, Sr., of Terre Haute skidded out of control due to an icy bridge deck and overturned several times. Passengers Gaston Munoz Jr. and Francisco Reyes were taken to Union Hospital. Munoz Sr. was charged with driving too fast for conditions and no valid driver’s license.
