Mattoon held off Mahomet-Seymour, 6-5, Charleston defeated Rantoul, 6-1, Cumberland edged Villa Grove-Heritage, 2-1, Sullivan shut out Arcola, 10-0, Nic Hutchinson and Beau Bennett each drove in five runs as Windsor/Stew-Stras cruised to a 22-9 win over Central A&M, Tri-County was a 9-1 winner over Martinsville, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond scored 14 in the first inning en route to a 21-4 win over Cerro Gordo-Bement, Olney roughed up Red Hill, 16-1, St. Teresa shut out Shelbyville, 6-0, and Neoga lost to Oblong, 9-0.
Softball:
Tri-County over Martinsville, 12-1, Sullivan topped Arcola, 9-1, Cumberland got by Villa Grove-Heritage, 6-4, Flora was a 17-3 winner over South Central, Olney had its way with Red Hill, 11-1, Pana lost to Gillespie, Shelbyville defeated St. Anthony, 6-4, Altamont had no trouble with St. Elmo/Brownstown, 16-3, Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond blanked Cerro Gordo-Bement, 8-0, Oblong shut out Neoga, 10-0.
