(Baltimore, MD) — President Trump has rejected an invitation to speak at the 108th annual NAACP convention in Baltimore this week. Interim President and CEO Derrick Johnson says it’s Trump’s loss. He said he believes that the Trump administration has a very narrow view about what constitutes America and Americans. He says African Americans have lost confidence in how this administration performs during the past month. Former President George W. Bush did speak to the convention during his presidency and even though many members didn’t approve on his take of the issues, he did listen to them and their concerns.
