A St. Elmo man charged with attempted first-degree murder in connection with a shooting in Ramsey is scheduled to appear in court today. In addition to that charge, 24-year-old Alexander Beccue is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. Smith passed away due to his injuries early Friday afternoon. With his passing, Beccue could face an amended first degree murder charge.
