Mattoon and Charleston high school juniors and seniors have a chance to win two $2,000 scholarships. The two winners, representing both schools, will be announced at the Coles County Clash football game September 15 at EIU. The drawing is open to all juniors and seniors at CHS and MHS. The scholarships will be applied to the student accounts the first semester enrolled at EIU. Inquiry cards will be collected by Molly Button, EIU admissions counselor for CHS and MHS the week before the Clash Week. MHS and CHS students who have applied to EIU for Fall 2018 will automatically be entered. Students will also be able to complete an inquiry card in the guidance offices. EIU Admissions will have a tent outside the ticket booth the afternoon and evening of the game so students may also complete an inquiry card to be entered into the scholarship drawing.
Seating for the game is as follows: Charleston will sit on the south end of the main grandstand in sections A, B, and C. Mattoon will sit on the north end of the main grandstand in sections E, F, and G. Banners will be hung over each section indicating the seating sections.
