A Shelbyville man faces multiple charges after leading police on a high-speed chase over the weekend. According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, pursuit for 39-year-old Michael Eakle began in Ramsey, and then continued on to Pana and Shelbyville, where each county’s law enforcement got involved. Eakle went into a cornfield and a long search followed before he was captured along a roadway. Among the charges are attempting to elude police at more than 21-miles-per-hour over the speed limit, driving while license revoked, and criminal damage to government property. Eakle will appear in Fayette County Court today.
