One person was injured in an ultra-light aircraft accident last night in Jasper County. According to the Illinois State Police, the aircraft, piloted by 86-year-old Arthur Michels, of Wheeler, lost engine power a mile and a half north of his home. Michels attempted to land when the aircraft spiraled down and crashed. He was taken to St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. The FAA is investigating the crash.
