Two people were killed in accident near Greenup yesterday. According to the Illinois State Police, a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Jessica Shutts, of Greenup crossed into the northbound lane of Route 130 and struck a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Tony Guffey, of New Harmony. Both vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in the ditch. Shutts, and passenger, 30-year-old Anthony Scheiner, of Paris were pronounced dead at the scene. Guffey was treated and released at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. The accident remains under investigation.
