Washington Stuns Second-Ranked Kansas
(Kansas City, MO) — Washington knocked Kansas from the unbeaten ranks with a 74-65 upset at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. Matisse Thybulle led the Huskies with 19 points, while Jaylen Nowell finished with 17. Noah Dickerson contributed 13 points and 14 rebounds. Washington improved to 7-and-2. LaGerald Vick paced the Jayhawks with a career-best 28 points. Kansas senior guard Devonte’ Graham scored only three points, 15 below his average, as he missed seven of eight field goal attempts. Kansas dropped to 7-and-1. The Jayhawks will try to bounce back Sunday when they host number-17 Arizona State at Allen Fieldhouse.
