According to the MPD, Mattoon Police arrested Brad A. Malone, 42 of Mattoon, for the offense of Domestic Battery. The arrest occurred on 12/22/17 in the 1000 block of Charleston Ave in Mattoon. The charge alleges during an argument, Mr. Malone battered a female by making physical contact with her. The offense was elevated to a felony due to Mr. Malone having prior convictions for Domestic Battery. Mr. Malone was taken to the Coles County Safety and Detention Center.
