Authorities Not Calling Natalie Wood Death A Homicide
(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles authorities aren’t calling Natalie Wood’s death a homicide and aren’t prepared to bring murder charges against Wood’s husband Robert Wagner. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Lieutenant John Corina says Wagner remains a person of interest in Wood’s death because he was the last person to see Wood alive the night she died in 1981. Corina went on to say that Wagner’s previous public statements and what detectives have been told by new witnesses “don’t add up.” Corina says, “we’re closer to understanding what happened that weekend.” Investigators say that new witnesses have come forward and described a loud argument between Wood and Wagner at the back of their boat and then silence. Additionally, L.A. County Sheriff’s Office authorities say Wagner has refused to be interviewed again about his wife’s death.
