Lawsuit Alleges Giants Failed To Investigate Manning Memorabilia Scheme
(East Rutherford, NJ) — Court papers accuse the Giants of never investigating an alleged Eli Manning memorabilia scheme. The “New York Post” got a hold of documents that highlight a 2008 e-mail from the equipment manager to Giants owner John Mara talking about a Manning helmet and jersey for sale as game worn that was not game-worn. Mara acknowledged the e-mail was sent to the team’s lawyer for review more than two years before the lawsuit. A memorabilia dealer is suing Mara and Manning over allegations that fake game worn gear from the Super Bowl winning quarterback was passed on by the Giants as real.
