Austin PD: Don’t Open Suspicious Packages Due To Blasts
(Austin, TX) — People in the capital city of Texas are being told to call police if they receive any suspicious packages after three recent explosions. Austin Police Chief Brian Manley issued the alert today after a teen was killed when a parcel bomb went off this morning inside a home. A second explosion happened later today in East Austin, sending an elderly woman to a hospital. A third blast happened earlier this month, killing a man.

UPDATED: Bomb Squad On Scene Of Austin Explosion
(Austin, TX) — The bomb squad is on scene of another explosion in Central Texas. The blast happened late this morning in East Austin, sending an elderly woman to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. It’s the second blast of the day after a teen was killed when a parcel bomb went off inside his home. Austin Police Chief Brian Manley wants people to call 9-1-1 if they receive a package they aren’t expecting. It’s the third explosion in Austin since the beginning of March.

(Austin, TX) — Another explosion is being reported in Austin, Texas. Austin-Travis County EMS says the blast happened late this morning, sending an elderly woman to a hospital. Investigators are not saying if the explosion is connected to a mail bomb from this morning that left a teen dead. It’s the third explosion in the city so far this month.

UPDATED: Police: Deadly Central Texas Explosions Connected
(Austin, TX) — Central Texas police believe two deadly explosions over the last couple weeks are connected. Austin police say a teen was killed and a woman seriously injured this morning when a package blew up at a home in an Austin neighborhood. The parcel was found on the doorstep, brought into the home, then exploded when it was opened. Investigators say the blast is similar to one that happened March 2nd in Northeast Austin that left a man dead. Police want people to call 9-1-1 if they find any suspicious packages on front porches. The FBI and ATF are involved in the probe.

1 Dead, 1 Injured In Texas Package Explosion
(Austin, TX) — One person is dead and another has life-threatening injuries after an explosion in an Austin, Texas neighborhood this morning. Police say some sort of explosive package was left at a home in the neighborhood. A teen boy was killed in the blast, and a woman living in the home was critically injured. The Austin Police bomb squad and FBI are now investigating a second suspicious package left in the neighborhood.
