CSU-Pueblo Study Finds Positive Aspects To Legalizing Marijuana
(Pueblo, CO) — A first-of-its-kind study on the effects of legal marijuana contends there are fewer negative effects than opponents may claim. The study by the Institute of Cannabis Research at Colorado State University-Pueblo was presented to Pueblo County commissioners on Monday. The study concludes that adult use of marijuana has increased since it was made legal in Colorado and says confusing state and federal laws have put more pressure on law enforcement. The study also finds marijuana sales have had a positive economic impact and have not led to increased homelessness or increased usage by high school students.
