(Washington Township, MI) — President Trump is threatening a government shutdown if he doesn’t get his border wall. At a rally in Michigan, Trump said he would “shut down the country” if he doesn’t get full funding for a massive border wall. A spending bill Trump signed last month keeps the government funded through the end of September. He said construction of a border wall has already started in San Diego. On the presidential campaign trail in 2016, Trump regularly promised that Mexico would pay for the wall.
