A four vehicle crash this morning on I-74 east around milepost 190. Tyler Nash, 31, of Danville, IL (unit 1) was traveling east on I-74. Unit 1 impacted unit 2 which, along with units 3, and 4, was stopped due to a traffic backup in a construction zone. Unit 1 struck unit 2, driven by Thomas Olds, 70, of Friendship, TN. Unit 2 was pushed into the rear of Unit 3. Following the impact, unit 1 traveled off the roadway to the right and crossed back into the right lane of traffic where it sideswiped unit 4. Nash and Olds were transported to a local hospital and Nash was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. crash
