Cubs Rally To Beat Braves
(Cumberland, GA) — The Cubs plated two runs off Braves closer Arodys Vizcaino in the top of the ninth to steal a 3-2 win in the first of three at SunTrust Park. Addison Russell tied the game with an RBI double and Ben Zobrist drove Russell home with the go-ahead single. Reliever Carl Edwards Junior came away with the win despite allowing a run. Brandon Morrow finished it off for his 10th save.
Cubs’ Darvish Leaves Due To Cramp
(Cumberland, GA) — Cubs starter Yu Darvish’s successful return from the disabled list was cut short yesterday. Darvish had to be pulled after the fourth inning due to a right leg cramp. He allowed one run and struck out five in a no-decision. The 31-year-old is 0-and-3 with a 5.56 ERA.
Cubs At Braves
(Atlanta, GA) — The Cubs play the second of three games against the Braves at SunTrust Park. Chicago is 22-and-17, one game out of first in the NL Central. Tyler Chatwood starts for the Cubs opposite Atlanta’s Brandon McCarthy.
