An Atwood man was killed in a scooter accident at Lerna Road and the Lincoln Highway Road yesterday. 60-year-old Michael Porter missed a curve and went into a field. He was airlifted to Carle Foundation Hospital, where he died. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
