Illinois-Kentucky Ferry May End Its Run
(Cave In Rock, IL) — The days could be numbered for a ferry between western Kentucky and southern Illinois. Southern Illinois State Rep Natalie Phelps Finnie says unless the state of Kentucky can pay for the ferry, the line between the two states will end July 1st. Phelps Finnie says Illinois is spending an extra 184 thousand-dollars in this year’s state budget on the ferry, and the state of Kentucky needs to kick-in an extra million dollars or so.
