DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT… Severe storms will be possible this afternoon as a cold front moves through the area. These storms will be capable of damaging winds and large hail, along with lightning and locally heavy rainfall. An isolated tornado is also possible, mainly in extreme southeast Illinois around Lawrenceville.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY… Thunderstorm chances will linger into the weekend and then again on Monday. At this time, severe weather is not expected.
