As of Thursday, July 26th at 7:25am: Due to an accident on I-57, northbound lanes are being rerouted onto Route 37 at exit 109 and returning to I-57 at milepost 116. The detour is expected to continue for at least a couple more hours, according to the Illinois State Police.
