(Washington, DC) — White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders says President Trump is open to holding a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, if he gets a formal invitation. In a statement yesterday, Sanders said Trump also looks forward to a summit with Putin in Washington, DC after the first of the year. Putin has not formally accepted the invitation to come to Washington. Putin suggested a follow-up summit in Moscow during a chat with reporters in South Africa. He also said he is ready to come to DC, if conditions are right for such a meeting.
