Elk Grove Village Will Sponsor College Football Bowl Game
(Elk Grove Village, IL) — A small Chicago suburb is getting into the game usually reserved for Chick-fil-A, Tostitos, and the folks who sell sugar in the U.S. Elk Grove Village Mayor Craig Johnson yesterday announced that the village will be the title sponsor of the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl, a college football bowl game in the Bahamas to be played in late December. Johnson says the village is the first non-tourism related government to sponsor a bowl. He said the game, which costs 300 thousand-dollars to sponsor, will be a great way to spread the message about what Elk Grove Village has to offer.
