(Washington, DC) — Things are getting somewhat tense between police and counterprotestors at the white nationalist rally outside the White House. Counterprotesters are making it known that they won’t stand for racial injustice.

Police are looking to get the Unite the Right rally participants out of the area after their demonstration has mostly fizzled due to rain and the thousands of counterprotestors. Only about two dozen white nationalists showed up. Police stepped in after counterprotestors were seen hurling bottles and other objects toward officers. Authorities have so far been able to keep the two groups separate and the demonstrations have mostly been peaceful.
