CDC: 25% Of Adults Have Disabilities That Impact Major Life Activities
(Undated) — One-fourth of U.S. adults have disabilities that affect their daily lives. A new report by the CDC says mobility is the most dominant disability impact. The CDC reported yesterday that other types of disability include hearing, vision, cognition, self-care, and independent living. The CDC says disability affects more than 40-percent of people age 65 and older, more than 28-percent of Americans age 45 to 64, and nearly 17-percent of adults 18 to 44. The health agency says at some point in their lives, most people will either have a disability or know someone who does.
