A tractor-trailer caught fire yesterday (Monday) morning on I-57 near the Watson-Mason interchange. According to reports, the call came in at 1:30am from the driver alerting firefighters of flames coming from the rear trailer tires. When the Watson Fire Department arrived, the fire had extended into the trailer. They were able to extinguish the blaze in 35 minutes. The cause has yet to be determined. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
