Brewers Edge Cubs
(Chicago, IL) — Mike Moustakas scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the sixth inning and the Brewers held off the Cubs 3-2 in Chicago. Moustakas also scored on Orlando Arcia’s second-inning single and Jonathan Schoop put Milwaukee on the board with a sac-fly in the first. Wade Miley worked five frames of two-run ball for the win and Jeremy Jeffress earned the save. The Brewers trimmed the Cubs lead to one-game atop the NL Central. Chicago starter Jon Lester left the game with back tightness in the sixth inning and was charged with the loss. Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo had an RBI apiece in defeat.
