Thousands Gather For Reading Of Names For 9-11 Anniversary
(New York, NY) — It’s a somber day in New York City where folks are commemorating the 17th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks. Family members who lost loved ones gathered at the 9-11 Memorial and took turns reading the names of the nearly three thousand people who died in the attacks. Some sat trying to hold back tears while others proudly held up pictures of their loved ones lost. There were six moments of silence for when the four hijacked planes were driven into the World Trade Center, Pentagon, field in Pennsylvania and when the Twin Towers collapsed.
