Mendocino County Fire Is Contained
(Undated) — California’s largest wildfire ever is finally contained. The Forest Service announced that the Mendocino Complex Fire in Northern California reached 100-percent containment Wednesday. The Mendocino Complex consisted of the River and Ranch fires and charred nearly 460-thousand acres. Both fires started in late July and spread to four counties. They destroyed 280 buildings, killed one firefighters and left four others hurt. Meantime, fire officials in California are warning of dangerous fire conditions through today. Areas of the Central Valley and other counties in Northern California are under a Red Flag warning because of gusty winds sweeping through the area.
