NY Construction Worker Claims $245M Powerball Jackpot
(New York, NY) — A New York City man is rethinking his future after claiming a 245-million-dollar Powerball jackpot. Nandlall Mangal, who works construction on Staten Island, bought the winning ticket on August 11th at a convenience store and is now talking about paying off bills, investing money and going to Hawaii. The 42-year-old put the winning ticket in a safe deposit box and didn’t tell anyone about it until hiring a lawyer. He claimed the prize Thursday at a special ceremony, saying he’d take the money as a lump sum in the form of a trust, netting more than 99-million-dollars after taxes.
