Rockies Outlast Cubs In 13 Innings To Advance
(Chicago, IL) — The Colorado Rockies are heading to the National League Division Series. Tony Wolters singled in the go-ahead run in the 13th inning to lift the Rockies past the Cubs 2-1 in the National League wild card game at Wrigley Field. Colorado took a 1-0 lead on Nolan Arenado’s sac-fly in the first. The Cubs tied it on an RBI double by Javy Baez in the eighth, but were held hitless the rest of the way. Scott Oberg got credit for the win, while Kyle Hendricks took the loss in relief for Chicago. The Rockies will play the Brewers in the NLDS starting Thursday in Milwaukee.
