Study: Pot Worse For Teen Brains Than Alcohol
(Montreal) — A new study is suggesting that marijuana is worse for teenage brains than alcohol. The Canadian study published in the American Journal of Psychiatry tested the memory and reasoning of nearly four-thousand teenagers and found that marijuana affected their long-term cognitive abilities more than alcohol. The study also found that when the teens stopped smoking pot, their memory did not get better. The scientists say more research is needed to find out how marijuana effects young brains.
