Hurricane Michael State Of Emergency Includes 35 Counties
(Tallahassee, FL) — More than half of Florida’s counties are now under a state of emergency as Hurricane Michael approaches. Yesterday, Governor Rick Scott added nine counties to his declaration for a total of 35. Forecasters say Michael should make landfall tomorrow as a major Hurricane over Florida’s Panhandle or Big Bend regions. One of the biggest threats will be the storm surge, which could be up to 12 feet in some areas.
