Southern Illinois Murder For Hire Trial Delayed
(Murphysboro, IL) — The southern Illinois woman accused of hiring someone to kill her husband won’t go on trial this month. A judge in Murphysboro this week granted Carmen Stonemark’s request for a delay. Her lawyers say they’re still sifting through the evidence in the case. Prosecutors say Stonemark hired James Deese to kill her husband, Frank, in October of last year. Deese already pleaded guilty and he’ll be sentenced next month.
