Illinois’ Mississippi River Communities Deal With Flood Waters
(Moline, IL) — The sandbags and road closing signs are coming out up and down the Mississippi River. Communities from the Quad Cities downriver are dealing with flooding this week. Forecasters say, so far, the floods are just closing some roads and forcing some people to put out sandbags. Leaders on both sides of the river in the Quad Cities say they’ve closed a number of streets because of the high water.
